Why Clinical Trials

Every treatment available today was approved through a clinical trial.

Join a clinical trial and help the development of medication that may treat important diseases.

Why Should You Participate
In a Clinical Trial?

Latest Treatments

Clinical trials may give you access to cutting edge treatments & new medications that are currently unavailable elsewhere (free of charge!).

Medical Care
(even without insurance)

As part of the trial you are likely to get medical care and more frequent health check-ups. Most trials also don’t require insurance which means you may get care even if you can’t afford it elsewhere.

Leading Specialists

The researchers involved in clinical trials
are often leading experts who have a deep
understanding of your condition.

Understand Your Condition

Trials allow you to finally take control of your
health and deepen your knowledge of your
condition. This knowledge can lead to a more
positive outlook.

Financial Benefits

Treatments administered during a clinical trial are often given at no cost to patients; in fact in many cases, volunteers are compensated for their time, travel, or participation in general.

Clinical Trials Help Others

Frequently Asked Questions

What are clinical trials?

A clinical trial or study is a very carefully conducted research study into the effectiveness and safety of new and existing medical treatments. There are a few different types of trials that participants can take part in. Studies may be focused on drugs, medical devices, medical procedures, or patient behavior. These clinical trials may compare a new drug or medical procedure to a standard one that is readily available (called the “Standard of Care”).

The goal of a clinical trial is to determine if a new treatment is more effective and/or has less harmful side effects than the standard treatment.
